Have they, really, already invented the holodeck?

This is what strikes me as the closest thing to the Star Trek holodeck.

As you can see, the holodeck is created from two things: one is a moving walkway that moves under the feet of the person on it. The other instead is a VR mask connected with headphones with which the person who is in the holodeck will see the images of the virtual reality in which he moves.

The project leader is Joachim Tesch of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics.
